New Candidate emerges as the focus for the Tennessee coaching job

ESPN is reporting that Tennessee is focusing its head coaching search to a young coach from the Big Ten.

After being turned down by Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy on Tuesday, Chris Low is reporting that Purdue’s Jeff Brohm is being targeted for the position.

Brohm just finished his first regular season with the Boilermakers getting bowl eligible at 6-6. Purdue won a total of nine games in the four previous seasons to Brohm arriving. The former Louisville quarterback was 30-10 as the head coach at Western Kentucky.

Brohm has appeared in the Top 5 of all three of our Vols Coaching Candidate Hot Boards since Butch Jones was fired November 12.
